WALT: to deconstruct a text.
“Oh no” Katie mumbled. Katie’s mum started reading, the kids listened carefully while Katie kept avoiding any kind of contact. Her mum continued to read, Katie’s friends listened to the book as if they forgot everything else existed. The kids felt pleased listening to the story, but on the other hand to Katie, it felt like minutes of torture. As Katie’s mum came to a close reading her book, “finally” Katie thought, a few minutes later the kids realised that she was Katie's mum and started talking about how cool her mum was. Katie felt thankful what her mum did.
