Your sister gives you $125 to spend on lollies. If you spend $65 how much money would you have left over?

Zaeeda has bought her sister  a new puppy. She has $500 in her bank account as she heads to the shops. 

She first buys a dog bed for $60. How much money does she have left?

$440

She then buys a bowl for $25. How much does she have left?

$415

Then she buys 3 chew toys. Each toy costs $3.50. How much does she have left?

$405.50

Finally she buys a diamond collar for the dog which costs $154.50. How much is left in her account at the end of the day? 405.50-154.50=         400.50-54.50=345-105=240

Kalani’s python has become ill and needs to go to the vets. He  has $100 in his wallet.

The cost of the vet visit is $65.50. How much money is left in Kalani’s wallet?

100-60=40-5.50=34.50

AJ is also at the vet with his rabbit. His rabbit has had expensive surgery. If AJ has 10.25 left in his bank account and he started with $525.80, how much did the surgery cost?

525-10=515 515.25-0.8= 

Zyla’s puppy is growing every month. He used to weigh 5.67 kg but he now weighs 6.34kg. How much weight has he put on? 6.34-5.67=

5.67 + 0.33  = 6.00

6.00 + 0.34   =6.34

0.33 + 0.34 = 0.64

Factors are the numbers you multiply to get another number.

Prime numbers are the numbers that have only two factors.

What are the factors of 3? 1 and 3 Because 3 has only two factors, it is a prime number.

Composite numbers are the numbers that have more than two factors.

What are the factors of 6? 1, 2, 3, and 6 Because 6 has more than two factors, it is a composite number.

Late happy new years (writing included)

Late happy new years everybody, I hope you have all had a great time so far. I have been doing a lot of fun things lately like spending time with family, going swimming and enjoying Christmas and my new trampoline and Nerf guns as well as a trip to Hamilton this past weekend.-> After a long road trip, I woke up and found my little sister, mum, dad and myself in Hamilton. We left the car and explored the mall where we had lunch and chilled for awhile. Stuffed full of food, we waited a little bit, talking about what we were going to do next. Although I knew they would be annoyed, I used my magnificent convincing skills and persuaded my mum and dad to check out the ice age mini golf. We played 18 holes of Mini Golf and saw a lot of prehistoric animals such as a Mammoth, a Saber tooth and more. When we finished the game I totally won but I didn't get a reward sadly. Later on we hopped back in the car and headed off to the beautiful gardens. At the Gardens we had some Ice cream whilst enjoying the view of the lake and had a nice rest. Up for one more activity we walked down to an awesome playground where my little sister and I enjoyed ourselves while our mum and dad just sat on a table. After an amazing day at Hamilton we were ready to head off home.
